One of the biggest changes to the Pacers during the Christmas period is the change that’s been made to the starting lineup. Inserting Aaron Nesmith into that group for Jalen Smith has reinvigorated his career, which has been an amalgam thus far. Through his last 6 games, Nesmith is averaging better than 13 points and 5 rebounds with increased playing time. His defensive impact has been high as well. This season is one of discovery for the Indiana Pacers. We’ve learned a lot about our excellent rookies, Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard, and now we’ve gotten a better look at an important return piece from the Malcolm Brogdon trade.
