Buddy’s Buddy
Speaking of trades, Buddy Hield’s name isn’t a stranger to an entry into the overworked trade machine. Hield doesn’t fit the timeline for this Pacers team, and his contract might be ever so slightly too rich for his on-court contributions, but my goodness is Buddy an absolutely awesome, well, buddy! If you haven’t seen the press conference video of Haliburton being interrupted by Hield while he’s trying to compliment him, it’s worth the watch.

The pair have had a unique NBA journey, coming from Sacramento to Indiana together, and their friendship would be hard for me to break up. Luckily, I don’t have to make the kinds of decisions Kevin Pritchard does!
