We give this trade an A-. Why? There are many reasons to like this trade.

Derrick Rose could function as a mentor to Tyrese Haliburton. Rose has known what it is like to be an up and coming all-star level point guard in the NBA. Rose could help Hali both on and off the court if he was willing to do so.

Reddish is a low-floor/high-ceiling type player in the trade. There is a chance he would be off the roster quickly, but there is also a chance (albeit small) that he could be a long-term rotational player for this Pacers team.

And the 1st round pick is the true compensation for Buddy Hield, allowing the Pacers to get good return ultimately in the Sabonis trade (Haliburton + 1st round pick).

The Knicks get shooting that they desperately need to go alongside of Brunson, Randle, and Barrett. It would solidify the Knicks chances of securing a solid playoff spot and give the offense a boost. If the Knicks want to keep pushing forward, this would be the way to do it.

So what do you think? Would you be happy with this trade? Let us know in the comments below.
