Option 1: Do nothing and remain the team we are today without interacting with the Atlanta Hawks.

The easiest course of action is always… inaction. But there may be reason to suggest that this would be the best course of action in the long run. The Pacers have a good group of talented players along with draft capital in the upcoming draft. If the Pacers believe that they have the talent and picks currently to construct a winner, than they absolutely should do that.

Haliburton and Mathurin already look like the backcourt of the future. With three first round picks next year, the front office could easily fill any remaining holes after moving off of some of the larger veteran contracts still on the roster.

Additionally, generally where there is smoke there is fire. If Trae Young is having problems there, whether caused by him or the organization, it may be best to stay away from the situation rather than potentially inheriting dysfunction from another franchise.

The problem with this course of action is that the Indiana Pacers are a small market team, any opportunity they get to take advantage of a crack, they have to.
