#90 Bennedict Mathurin

Surprised? We’re not. Bennedict Mathurin has been somewhat of a revelation in Indianapolis playing at a ridiculous level for a rookie in the league. If Banchero wasn’t having a ridiculous season himself, we could probably just go ahead and give the ROTY trophy to Mathurin and call ballgame.

Mathurin is playing lights out in his rookie season, averaging over 17 points a game and having multiple 30 point games on his resume already. There are certainly areas of his game that need work such as his court vision and ability to defend. But the tools are there already.

So who is around Mathurin on this list? He is immediately trailed by Julius Randle, Cam Johnson, and Kyle Lowry. We feel that the ranking is even a bit low with players such as Alex Caruso, Ivica Zubac, and Norm Powell ahead of him on this list. With Mathurin’s upside and quick start, it’s hard not seeing him in the top quarter of this list in future years.

So what do you think? Were the rankings appropriate? Any Pacers missed or too low?

Next. Cam Reddish will be a Pacer. dark
