Saddiq Bey to the Pacers?

The Indiana Pacers have a well-documented weak spot in the forward positions, as they haven’t had a viable starting forward with size since, well, TJ Warren. With the team still relying on out-of-position options to man the spot, it’s pretty reasonable to expect the front office to do something about it sooner than later.

If so, Detroit’s Saddiq Bey stands out as a potential target for the Blue and Gold. The 23-year-old has struggled this season, and given that the Pistons seem to like Bojan Bogdanovic leading the way with their young guns, they may be more amenable than ever to the prospect of moving him.

Of course, everything depends on the Pistons’ asking price for the third year forward. However, with an upcoming free agency that may be more expensive than expected, the Pacers have a good shot at landing him if they truly want to take part in the chase. Ultimately, it remains unclear whether the team has a better shot at landing him via trade or free agency.

Verdict: Buy on the Pacers showing interest at the least
