Bennedict Mathurin Update: Continues to be frontrunner for ROTY award.

Is praising the phenomenal season of Mathurin anything new at this point? The rookie has been a borderline revelation for the Pacers this season, playing at a high level while bringing energy every single night.

So has Bennedict Mathurin continued his hot streak through November or is he starting to cool off? We look at the numbers.

Bennedict Mathurin through October: 13.4 PT, 2.1 AST, 4.3 RB, 45% FG, 38% 3-PT, 5.5 FTA
Bennedict Mathurin through November: 12.2 PT, 1.6 AST, 4.1 RB, 42% FG, 42% 3-PT, 5.9 FTA

So what stands out? It seems that Mathurin has, for all intents and purposes, been relatively consistent through the month of November, with his season averages not changes much at all. His points, assists, and rebounds all came down a bit, while his free throws attempted and efficiency from deep have gone up. The numbers seem to be telling a story of a player who is getting to the rim, not making the shot as much, and getting a bit more free throw attempts because of it.
However, with numbers like these, Mathurin will continue to be in the ROTY conversation as well as the 6th MOY award.
