Kendall Brown Update: Seeing initial game action during the month of November

The month of November was a significant improvement for Kendall Brown, given he didn’t get any playing time on the court during the month of October. While the amount of time on the floor was limited, he was able to begin showing some of his abilities, albeit when games were already out of hand.

Kendall Brown through October: 0 PT, 0 RB, 0 AST, 0% FG
Kendall Brown through November: 1 PT, 0 RB, 0.5 AST, 100% FG

Unfortunately the sample size is too small to truly understand what Kendall Brown has improved on and what he needs to continue to improve on. For that, we likely need to turn to his performance with the G League affiliate Fort Wayne Mad Ants, where he averaged:

Kendall Brown through November for Mad Ants: 12.4 PT, 7.2 RB, 2 AST, 49% FG, 40% 3-PT

While this is the G League and is lesser competition than the other rookies, you can see that Kendall Brown is performing as a serviceable shooting guard, shooting nearly 40% from deep. If he can get to a point where that translates to his time on an NBA court, he could find himself in the rotation soon.

Unfortunately to do that he will need to get more time on the court. But with a good number of shooting guards ahead of him, it may be awhile before Brown is able to see significant action on the court.
