#2 Bennedict Mathurin

When paired with Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin has the opportunity to be an All-Star in this league. His shooting, aggressive driving to the lane, and tenacity on the court form the basis for a very bright future in this league.

While the sample size is small, all signs point to Mathurin being a central piece and cornerstone of this Pacers team for years to come. He easily is in the conversation for ROTY and gets to the free-throw line at a historic pace. He has been so good that it isn’t obvious that he is only the second-best player on this team.

#1 Tyrese Haliburton

Could it have been anyone else? Since being traded from the Sacramento Kings, Tyrese Haliburton has been given the reins to the Indiana Pacers franchise and he hasn’t disappointed. His ability to see the court, make phenomenal passes, shoot at an efficient clip even during high usage, and provide leadership makes him the most important Pacers both today and for years to come.

He has the smile and personality to capture the hearts of Pacers fans worldwide, along with the humble attitude that fits in perfectly for a small-market midwestern franchise. The Pacers have been given a winning lottery ticket, and it’s number 0.
