The Indiana Pacers finishing the month of October with a record of 3-5 isn’t an unreasonable bet. I foresee many close games in that month as they play similar opponents to start out. A record of 3-5 would not be too bad in my opinion with such a young roster.

The month of October will go better than the month of November will… there are several games against playoff teams from last season. There are games against young teams that are trying to take that leap this season. There are also some games with teams like the Pacers who are rebuilding. Either way, the month of November could be rough.

Where do the Indiana Pacers stand heading into the month of November?

The first game of the month is at home against the Miami Heat. We all know how much firepower the Heat have and their ability to blow a team out. I do not think they blow the Indiana Pacers out, however. Indiana still drops this game but will be competitive. Will we get to see the return of Victor Oladipo? That would be a fun return date, as he has not been back to the Fieldhouse in almost two years.

The next Eastern conference game is against the Toronto Raptors at home. I believe the Pacers will pull this one out. The Raptors have solid guys, but I believe that we will see a big game out of some young guys around this point.

They will then travel to Charlotte for their next matchup against a conference opponent. Indiana will take this game as well, convincingly. This young team will pop off some games, and I feel this will be one as the Hornets struggle against a Myles Turner type. The last three games against their conference foes will be at home. two against the Magic, and one against the Nets. I think the Pacers split the games with the Magic. Then, beat the Brooklyn Nets.

Games against Western Conference teams in November

The first two games against western conference teams are at home. The Pacers welcome the New Orleans Pelicans and the Denver Nuggets. I think the Pacers lose both of these games to begin the games against the western conference. These teams are both going to the playoffs and will make quick work of this young Pacers squad. Last season, the Nuggets beat Indiana by a substantial margin without Jokic on the floor.

Next up, at Houston to take on the Rockets. This will be a fun game that the Pacers will come out victorious in. Following that will be home against the Timberwolves — the Indiana Pacers will lose this game. The frontcourt of the Timberwolves will probably be too much for the Pacers and I could see a low-scoring game in this one.

Then, the final three games of the month are all against teams out west in California. The Pacers will take on the Clippers, Lakers, and the Kings. I think they drop both games to the teams in LA. But get a good road win against the Kings.

Their record at the end of November

  • Coming into the month I had the Pacers at – (3-5)
  • In the month of November against the East – (4-2)
  • In the month of November against the West – (2-5)
  • The record at the end of November – (9-12)
