The Indiana Pacers approach the NBA summer league, which is just over a week from today. The 2022 summer league team is looking stacked as the Pacers look to take home the championship (for the summer).
The Indiana Pacers announce a star-studded summer league roster with the newest draft picks.
Summer league for the Pacers starts on July 8th when they take on the Charlotte Hornets at 6: PM EST. A few surprises were included on this year’s roster in Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson who were drafted last season with the 13th and 23rd overall pick. I guess surprised isn’t the right word, but those two players are in a tier of their own in my opinion.
- Isaiah Jackson
- Bennedict Mathurin
- Chris Duarte
- Duane Washington Jr
- Terry Taylor
- Gabe York
- Eli Brooks
- Andrew Nembhard
- Kendall Brown
- Simi Shittu
- Fanbo Zeng
- Jermaine Samuels
- Tevin Brown
- Nate Hinton
- David DiLeo
- Bennie Boatwright
Bennie Boatwright played for the Pacers’ summer league team last summer, before getting injured in the first quarter of play in the first game the team played in. The injury was a painful one – a dislocated kneecap. This would sideline Bennie for the rest of the Summer League. Then, he spent a season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants along with Gabe York and Nate Hinton.
The Indiana Pacers will have four games against the Hornets, Kings, Pistons, and Wizards. That means we will hopefully get to see the Mathurin vs Jaden Ivey matchup on July 12th.
We might not get to see a lot of Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson in the latter games in this four-game stretch, but at least we get to see this Pacers’ young core in action before the actual 2022-23 season begins.
Here is the Indiana Pacers’ full summer league schedule.
