The Indiana Pacers will have a handful of options with the sixth pick in this year’s NBA draft. Among the players who have the potential to be selected at that spot are both Keegan Murray and Shaedon Sharpe.

Keegan Murray made it known that he has already completed a private workout with the Pacers in a media interview this week. Shaedon Sharpe has his workout set in Indiana on Monday and it will likely be an individual one.

The Indiana Pacers have hosted many player workouts at this point in the pre-draft process. These big names could be potential fits at pick No. 6.

My opinion is that Keegan Murray is a great pick for the Pacers at No. 6 if he is available there. Murray’s size is intriguing and he can fill a position the Pacers need. He averaged 23.5 points a game and 8.7 rebounds and additionally, he shot the three at 39% in his second season at Iowa on over four attempts.

I would be fine if the Pacers decided to not move around in the draft and Murray fell to them for their taking. I also like picking Bennedict Mathurin in that spot as well, as there are a few names I would be pleased with that I feel would really boost this Indiana Pacers roster.

When asked about his fit in Indiana and Tyrese Haliburton by James Boyd of the IndyStar, Murray had high praise.

"“Tyrese is obviously a really good player, (the) kind that can make those tough passes,” Murray said. “Really good assist to turnover ratio, so he’s a guy I think would be really cool to play with. Obviously he went to Iowa State, so we have that connection. He’s a really cool, really good player. They have a really good staff, and I think it would be a great fit.”"

Sharpe is someone who I am glad is working out with the team individually because the tape on him is lacking. He didn’t play his one year at Kentucky by his choosing, and drafting him is a dice roll for a team-high in the lottery.

I don’t see the Pacers being the team to take the risk of picking him at No. 6, but the team doing their due diligence in the pre-draft process is good. They brought in Bennedict Mathurin, Johnny Davis, Keegan Murray, and Dyson Daniels. Indiana had planned to bring in Jeremy Sochan before a flight complication and it is not known if he has made his way to Indiana yet.

Sharpe has no statistics that are shareable other than what he measures. These are his official Draft Combine measurements.

  • Height with shoes: 6’5.25″
  • Height without shoes: 6’4.25″
  • Wingspan: 6’11.5″
  • Standing Reach: 8’7.5″
  • Weight: 198 lbs.
  • Body Fat: 4.8%
  • Hand length: 9″
  • Hand width: 9.25″

I just do not know how to feel about Sharpe heading into the draft. I think there will be a team to draft him in the top ten just on his measurements and potential, but he hasn’t played on a team at any sort of higher level. This gives me doubts about him but nonetheless am fine with the Front Office wanting to take a closer look at Sharpe.

Next. Jaden Ivey has high praise for the franchise. dark
