With a pivot in direction slated to be on full throttle for the Indiana Pacers this offseason, you can bank on the team looking quite different in the next campaign. From the upcoming draft to free agency and even the trade market, the front office will have a lot of ammo to bare a relatively new crew for the 2022-23 NBA season.

After a failed campaign which saw them tally one of their worst regular season finishes ever, the Pacers will be more than incentivized to improve the roster through making changes to its components. That being said, here are three players who may secretly be on the trading block this summer.

1. Myles Turner’s fate could heavily depend on the Indiana Pacers’ draft and free agency strategy

The Indiana Pacers badly need some lifting on the frontcourt through offseason additions. While their current setup of Myles Turner and Isaiah Jackson is not the worst in the league, it is also far from an inspiring twosome to man the big man spots.

Should the Pacers manage to add a big man prospect through the draft or sign or trade for one, Turner could find himself donning new colors. While parting with the longest-tenured Pacer without seeing how he meshes with the new core is unfortunate, burning bridges with him could be the biggest impetus to indicate the franchise’s directional shift.

Overblown expectations aside, Turner is an excellent complementary piece to build with, but his injury history and relative inconsistency on offense have been usual — yet legitimate — points of concern with regard to his viability as a truly ideal cog for the team’s new vestige moving forward. That being said, he is the unlikeliest of the bunch to be dangled this summer.
