Indiana Pacers: Predicting 3 best landing spots for TJ Warren
3. The San Antonio Spurs are a perfect fit for TJ Warren
Few teams need more help in the forward positions than the San Antonio Spurs. While Gregg Popovich and co. will prefer to get an upside-rich boost through the upcoming NBA Draft, they do not really have a sterling shot at a top selection.
Should the Spurs remain where they are projected to pick (ninth), they could venture into free agency to get some help. TJ Warren is arguably an excellent fit for them. Not only does San Antonio have a glaring need for a big forward, but he could thrive next to Dejounte Murray as a secondary option alongside Keldon Johnson.
Oh, and Warren does not have to alter his play style. Popovich and the Spurs have long been proponents of retrofitting the system to fit the players and not the other way around, meaning that San Antonio will be a conducive place where the talented scorer can showcase his mid-range skills and improved defense.
