Target No. 3 for the Indiana Pacers with the 60th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft

Some NBA Draft forecast outlets have Orlando Robinson as a late first-round to early second-round selection, but centers tend to plummet on draft day, owing to teams often changing gears and opting for gambles in the second round.

Should the Fresno State alum indeed fall out of favor on D-day, the Indiana Pacers should jump at the opportunity to nab him. The big man has the makings of a modern NBA big man, boasting above average perimeter shooting, passing, court awareness, and rebounding. He is also  sneakily athletic and can even handle the ball and shoot off the dribble. Just to reiterate, this is a seven footer.

Centers with unique finesse are rare, even in the big league. While most teams are likely to nab Robinson as soon as possible in the second-round, the Pacers can only hope that the other clubs opt to shoot for foreign prospects and perimeter cogs to get a shot at selecting the talented big man. Indiana did not get what they expected from Goga Bitadze, so here’s to another shot at reversing their fortunes on that end.
