The Indiana Pacers have a lot of problems on the basketball side, but scoring is hardly one of them. Already littered with a bunch of solid tier-two scorers, the team has a more urgent need in the defense department, where they ranked 28th in the recently concluded campaign.

While he is tabbed to be a late first-rounder, Duke’s Wendell Moore Jr. has the making to be the next Swiss army knife for the Pacers. His defensive fundamentals are solid, and he excels in running the break, scoring in transition or finding his teammates as a secondary playmaker, which is proof of his cerebral game.

Moore is an athletic wing who can run the point in spurts. His jump shot and overall scoring profile is a work in progress, but nevertheless, he could contribute for the Pacers right off the bat with his all-around game and smarts.
