The best play of the season was actually an entire quarter of basketball that came in early January. That quarter involved Lance Stephenson and his triumphant return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Lance Stephenson in his first back in front of his Indiana fans scored twenty points in the first quarter in about five minutes of play. He became the first player in NBA history to score 20pts off the bench in the 1st Quarter.

To top off the insane return, he hits this story-perfect buzzer-beater to make his 8th shot in that five minutes of play. The Nets would go on to win the game, but Lance didn’t disappoint the rest of the night.

He finished the game with 30 points (12/19) with 5 assists and made four of his eight three-point attempts. It was the highlight of the season for Indiana fans and I am sure a moment Lance won’t soon forget.

Stephenson took to social media to thank the fans and his teammates after signing with the Indiana Pacers.

"“My coaches, My teammates #teamfirst and Last but not least I would like to thank the pacer nation fans, Truly amazing it’s like playing in front of family for the first time every time”, Lance said."

Lance and the Pacers are like family, and now that the Pacers season is over, there is one question that will loom over Stephenson this offseason.
