This is a classic case of defense leading to offense, and it was really well executed in this play. It starts on the defensive end when Myles is able to block the alley-oop attempt to Obi Toppin that falls into the hands of Chris Duarte in transition.

Myles Turner blocks an alley-oop that leads to an alley-oop

Duarte then is able to read the floor and find an open Caris LeVert on the other side of the floor for an easy alley-oop of their own to force a timeout from the New York Knicks.

The Pacers would win this game by twenty points which they didn’t do very often this season, but this was a great moment of what this team can be in the future. Two players in this highlight arent on the team anymore, but Turner is in a contract year and the team just extended Brogdon this past year.

We will see what comes next with the roster next season, but the idea of a healthy Myles Turner and Isaiah Jackson pairing is exciting on the defensive end of the floor. The Pacers need to get back to having a defensive identity, as they ranked 28th in defensive efficiency during 2021-22.

When defense brings you easy scoring opportunities, winning by 20 isn’t as difficult to do.
