Indiana Pacers: 3 teams to avoid in any Myles Turner trade
The Los Angeles Lakers simply do not have the assets to trade with the Indiana Pacers for Myles Turner
Given how the Lakers essentially pumped out nearly all of their salary room for their Big Three, which has arguably disappointed this season outside of LeBron James, Los Angeles is one of the most limited teams asset-wise.
That, however, has not stopped the Lakers brass from expressing their interest on Myles Turner, who seems to be a good fit next to their stars. Bad news, LA fans: The Indiana Pacers have no reason to deal with your front office.
There are only two pathways for the Lakers to trade for Turner: a package of Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and one from their cornucopia of minimum contracts, and a bigger package around the albatross contract of Russell Westbrook with Jeremy Lamb and one of TJ Warren and Caris LeVert in addition to Turner.
The second deal is already an entry reserved only for the trade machine. The first deal is simply the Lakers trying to gauge how strongly the Pacers can be seduced by the concept of Horton-Tucker being as good as their fans make him out to be. I’ll be the jury: there are far more attractive prospects out there, if we’re speaking potential and actual product. Sorry.
