3 goals for the Indiana Pacers in their preseason games
By Luke Parrish
What needs to happen for the Indiana Pacers to have a successful preseason?
The Indiana Pacers open up their preseason on Tuesday night against the Knicks in their first of four exhibitions. As they ramp up activity prior to their Oct. 20 regular-season tip-off, Indiana has some hurdles to get through. Injuries have already made their way to the roster as three key rotational players are unavailable.
Given how stressful the past few seasons have been with injuries, this is a huge disappointment before the season even starts. Fans just want to see this team healthy because, on paper, the Pacers have a very strong roster from top to bottom with a considerable amount of depth.
The hope now is that they can overcome their injuries enough to fight for a playoff spot by the end of the year as long as they do not fall too far out of the picture early on. It is shaping up to be a long rollercoaster of a season for the Pacers once again.
The preseason will tell us a bit about what we can expect from this team but hopefully not enough to give a clear picture of what the season entails. What are some of the goals they should target as the preseason looms?
