While the 2021 NBA Free Agency is almost in the dead waters, there are still lots of quality players who remain on the market. The Indiana Pacers, which are angling to load up in their pursuit of a more competitive bid in the Eastern Conference next season, still have some options up their sleeve before the new campaign begins.

After the Pacers pulled the qualifying offer to sophomore Cassius Stanley (subscription required), the team now has an additional roster spot to spare to fill a position of need. While their roster is far from lacking from a depth standpoint, certain team needs still stand out.

Some roster holes that need some patchwork include their lack of a true, third point guard, their need for another reliable stretch big and of course, additional ammo on defense. While these are not particularly glaring, Indiana’s injury-prone core needs as much safety blanket as possible, especially after last season’s lineup headaches causing instability.
