The Warriors can offer a very strong package to the Indiana Pacers

Arguably the best suitor for a trade with Indiana right now is Golden State. The Warriors could be looking to turn their two lottery picks into a proven NBA player to start next to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. With Myles Turner seemingly fitting what they need as a starting center who can stretch the floor, Indiana could walk away with a good value from the Warriors.

Golden State owns the 7th and 14th overall picks and also have some wing players set to make a bunch of money. Andrew Wiggins, who has made strides since leaving Minnesota, is a player I think could make a huge impact in Indiana. Packaging Wiggins and the 7th overall pick for Domantas Sabonis and salary filler is an idea I have grown to like.

Indiana has already been rumored to be in talks with the Warriors this summer and they have plenty of pieces who fit what the Warriors need. T.J. Warren, Domantas Sabonis, and Myles Turner are all players who make sense in the Bay.

For now, let’s focus on the idea of trading Myles Turner to the Warriors in exchange for the 7th overall pick as the foundation of a trade. That allows the Pacers to move away from the two-big lineup while also keeping their 13th overall pick to add two lottery-level players to the mix.

If this is the case, the Pacers could add Moses Moody and another high-impact rookie in the 2021 NBA Draft. They could also turn the 13th overall pick into a proven player that is on the verge of finding a new home already.
