NBA Mock Draft 25th Pick: LA Clippers – Jared Butler

The LA Clippers’ roster-building this offseason will be a bit tricky. Since the team is already hard-capped even with Kawhi Leonard not re-signing yet, and key veterans Nicolas Batum and Reggie Jackson being legitimate flight risks, the team may be more keen than usual on acquiring assets in the draft, especially at the point guard position.

Enjoy Jackson’s rejuvenation while it lasts. Meanwhile, Patrick Beverley’s oft-injured status and Rajon Rondo’s decreasing value all but guarantees that LA should pick a new floor general with more upside than those players. Jared Butler, a reliable decision-maker with an efficient three-point stroke, could be more than just a depth piece for the Clippers later on.
