NBA Mock Draft 22nd Pick: Los Angeles Lakers – Chris Duarte

Contrary to popular belief, the Los Angeles Lakers should still be pegged as heavy title contenders. Still, there are glaring holes on the roster, namely the lack of outside shooting and reliable shot making outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, which proved to be cataclysmic for the 2020 champs in the postseason.

While the Lakers will be prime players in free agency and the trade market, an immediate solution in this deep draft is imminent. Oregon’s Chris Duarte, a big guard with a standout three-point shot and great floor awareness as a perimeter defender, plays rights into Los Angeles’ hands, especially with their aging alternatives in the 3-and-D role.
