NBA Mock Draft 21st Pick: New York Knicks – Sharife Cooper

While a big splash in free agency to fill the point guard position is very possible for New York, adding a reinforcement through the draft is a logical route to take on, especially with Derrick Rose as the only potent playmaker for the team as the roster currently stands.

Auburn’s Sharife Cooper, while undersized, will give the Knicks an immediate boost in the scoring and playmaking department. Despite his inefficiency behind the arc, his impeccable passing, court awareness and tenacious feel for the game should be welcomed by Tom Thibodeau, who may possibly utilize him as a sparkplug off the bench, especially when the oft-injured Rose is sidelined.
