Indiana Pacers: 4 teams to avoid in a Myles Turner deal
The Los Angeles Lakers have no useful pieces to dangle to the Indiana Pacers in a Myles Turner trade
Disclaimer: This is not a big-market enmity post.
In theory, Myles Turner will solve many of the Los Angeles Lakers’ problems: the lack of a true rim protector to pair with Anthony Davis and a stretch five who can punish defenders from doubling him and LeBron James.
However, unless the Indiana Pacers find value in, say, Kyle Kuzma, whose career is in a rapid diminuendo, Montrezl Harrell, who will be far from a good fit with the roster, or a sign-and-trade candidate in Dennis Schroder, who severely underperformed in the postseason, trading Turner to the Lakers is a step backwards.
Alas, even their low first-round pick won’t be enough for the Pacers to entertain a fielded offer. On the laurels of marginally valuable returns, the Los Angeles Lakers should be avoided in any Myles Turner deal.
