What are the best NBA Draft scenarios for the Indiana Pacers in 2021?

The upcoming NBA Draft could have major implications for the Indiana Pacers in a number of ways. With a lottery pick at their disposal and an urge to compete in the Eastern Conference, Indiana could use the draft to really change their future this year.

This piece will list five possible – and realistic – outcomes for the Pacers and rank them in order of which I believe is best. With so many other outcomes that are possible, including a player sliding in the draft, this will only focus on the ideas that have substance.

Indiana could still look to make a blockbuster trade outside of the draft as well, which we will look into as the offseason progresses. The likelihood of a trade coming through the draft is certainly possible, and it may just land itself on this list of possible outcomes.

The Pacers have not been in the lottery in a few years and have not had a promising prospect of their own since Paul George left the city. This year could finally be the year that they add a high-upside player who can shape the future of the franchise.
