Indiana Pacers: 3 trade ideas to reunite with Bojan Bogdanovic
The Indiana Pacers kill two birds with one stone in this three-way deal
In this three-way trade idea, the Indiana Pacers acquire forwards Bojan Bogdanovic and PJ Washington and the Utah Jazz receive former All-Star Gordon Hayward, wing Justin Holiday and a 2021 2nd-round pick while the Charlotte Hornets obtain center Myles Turner and forward Joe Ingles.
For Indiana, this will be a golden opportunity to shift to small-ball, with Bogdanovic and Washington both being interchangeable pieces in a tweener role. Turner’s rim protection will be missed, but Bojan’s improvement as a defender and PJ’s toughness and versatility on defense should be enough to compensate while giving the offense more breathing room.
Meanwhile, Utah will get a similar reunion with former Jazzman and All-Star Gordon Hayward coming back to play Bogdanovic’s role. He should be a wonderful secondary or tertiary option on offense while being able to match up with the West’s better forwards on defense alongside Justin Holiday.
Also, Charlotte finally attains a solution for their persistent problem at the center position with Myles Turner, who brings with him a menacing rim presence as one of the game’s best shot blockers and a unique three-point touch that should allow the Hornets to retain their breakneck pace on offense and improve their half court attack without clogging the lane.
