Indiana Pacers get the perfect backup big
"The Pacers have talked with the Houston Rockets, a league source told IndyStar, about flipping their pick and getting such a player. They're not looking for a one-and-done expiring contract. They want a player under contract for at least two years." https://t.co/lm1rG8RU51

Speculation has it that the Pacers and Rockets have been in talks about the 13th pick in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft. The Pacers would be looking for someone that could contribute now and has multiple years left on their contract. Insert Christian Wood.
Wood is a stretch big that would fit seamlessly with the Pacers. He would be a force off the bench and can play with either Domantas Sabonis or Myles Turner. Wood also has 2 years left on his deal at around 13 million a season which would fit perfectly in the Pacers cap situation.
