Cory Joseph would be a security blanket at point guard for the Indiana Pacers

Speaking of reunions, ex-Pacer Cory Joseph, who’s left dangling in a young rebuilding Pistons team, could be a great addition for the Indiana Pacers if TJ McConnell is somehow pried away by another team in free agency, especially after a career year.

Joseph brings a lot of things to the table aside from familiarity. His pesky perimeter defense, hustle and steady hand as a playmaker can replace most of what McConnell provides off the bench. Better yet, he can shoot three-pointers, albeit on low volume, and has championship experience with the 2014 Spurs.

For the Pistons, this would be a chance at securing some additional cap space for the offseason. Also they can redirect Jeremy lamb to another team, who can easily give Detroit better immediate returns than Joseph would.
