Indiana Pacers: One trade with every Central Division team
Larry Nance Jr. will bolster an already-strong Indiana Pacers frontcourt
The Indiana Pacers, now manned by Rick Carlisle, cannot afford to be uber-patient with their young studs anymore, especially with the veteran coach’s longstanding reluctance to playing young players in lieu of veterans.
Larry Nance Jr., the Cavaliers’ defensive leader in recent years, should fill in nicely for the Pacers’ most vulnerable spot in the rotation, which is the backup big position currently occupied by Goga Bitadze, a stretch-five who has struggled with his three-point shot and defense for the most part in limited opportunities.
Nance Jr.’s renewed three-point acumen and passing instinct, in addition to his knack for deflecting passes, should make him a very good fit next to either Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis. In return, Cleveland gets two young assets that they can develop, a sizeable cap relief and an additional second-round pick in this extraordinarily deep draft.
