Moses Moody is one of the best options projected for the Indiana Pacers.

The Indiana Pacers wrapped up their third pre-draft workout on Tuesday with two big-name prospects. Could Moses Moody be who the Pacers are targeting with the 13th pick?

The Indiana Pacers held their third draft pre-workout Tuesday in Indianapolis. Two projected lottery prospects were hosted to show the Pacers’ brass what they could do. One of those players was Arkansas freshman Moses Moody. Could the Pacers be looking at taking Moody with the 13th pick?

Moses Moody is a 6-6, 205-pound freshman guard out of the University of Arkansas. The SEC Freshman of the Year was an absolute sensation this past college season. Moody averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals per game last season for the Razorbacks. He was selected to the All-SEC and All-SEC freshman team in his lone season at Arkansas.

Moody projects as a 3 and D wing in the NBA  and seems like he could come into any team and be a very productive player. He already has an NBA-ready body and possesses a seven-foot wingspan. Combine those physical traits with the fact he is already an excellent on-and-off-ball defender and Moody has the chance to be an absolute menace on the defensive side of the ball for years to come.

Moody also has a very reliable three-point shot in his game. He shot nearly 36 percent from three-point range on 5.1 attempts per game. Moody excels in spot-up situations when shooting the three-ball and is very solid coming off screens.

One of the traits I like about Moody most is the high motor that he plays with. You see this on the defensive end and the glass the most. Moody is also a very instinctive rebounder, especially on the offensive glass where he averages 2 offensive rebounds a game in college. Moody’s 5.2 win shares also led the entire SEC last season.

Moses Moody has the potential to be a very productive player in the league for a long time and has been projected anywhere from mid-lottery to late-lottery. I believe that if  Moody is there when the Indiana Pacers pick at thirteen, they should select him without question. I think that he fits what the Pacers need and look for in a prospect. Hopefully, he will be there at pick 13.

Next. Should the Pacers trade down in the draft?. dark
