What do the Indiana Pacers do around Draft Day?

There are three ways this can go. The Pacers can completely trade out of this draft, trade up for a higher pick in this draft, or take the selection at 13. The only option I hate out of those is moving out of the draft completely. This is seen as a very deep draft and the Pacers aren’t always in the position to select in the lottery.

I will not claim to be a draft expert in the slightest but my draft crush for this year has turned out to be Moses Moody and if he isn’t available there are other good options which include James Bouknight, Josh Giddey, Ziaire Willaims, Jalen Johnson, and Keon Johnson. Those are all players that look like they could be available when the Pacers hit the clock at 13.

The other route I’d enjoy seeing is the Pacers moving up for a higher pick in this draft. One name that sticks with me is Scottie Barnes but there is another intriguing option in Davion Mitchell. I really like that the Pacers will be adding a top young talent in the coming months to go along with a good core already being built, unless they fully trade out which should be the last option, if an option at all.

There may be more question marks to come about the Indiana Pacers, but I wanted to cover a few of the main ones that I thought of. The signing of Rick Carlisle is a huge boost to this team’s future and I couldn’t be more excited.
