What will Rick Carlisle’s staff look like with the Indiana Pacers?

With the slightly “nasty” exit of Nate Bjorkgren, what is going to be done with the rest of the guys around Carlisle? With the caliber of coach we are bringing in, I think there should be a pretty big overhaul to fill in exactly who Carlisle wants. I would have a different answer to that if Dan Burke was still part of this franchise, I’d be calling for him to be the second man in charge on that bench.

When it comes to the assistants actually left in Indy I think they need to go, especially Greg Foster after his meltdown on Goga Bitadze. Everyone else is replaceable from my outside perspective.

What I want to happen is that another head coaching candidate is willing to step down to an assistant role to be alongside an all-time coach with a good roster. Carlisle and Terry Stotts have some experience but I would be happier if Steve Clifford could take the role I just laid out.

Another thing that is being speculated about all over Twitter is the possibility of Metta Sandiford-Artest joining the staff in some capacity. I’m all for it, from the first Pacers stint Rick and Metta created a close relationship and Metta has nothing but praise for Rick as a person and coach.

The last question I think needs to be answered is what happens when Draft Time rolls around?
