What do the Indiana Pacers do with Malcolm Brogdon?
Malcolm Brogdon has been a great player after his sign-and-trade to the Pacers only a few seasons ago. That being said he has also been playing out of his natural position. Brogdon is viewed by many as a natural two-guard and throughout his tenure in Indy, he has been played as the main ball handler. Running Caris LeVert as the main ball-handler with Brogdon playing a lot of off-ball offense is very intriguing, but is it ideal?
To be quite frank I have no idea, I don’t know the full capabilities of Caris LeVert. In the short period that we saw him in that similar role he was very good, even not being at 100% after his surgery. I think the backcourt combination could actually work wonders and I hope that it can because I don’t really see a world where the Pacers trade Brogdon unless he has issues with his third coach in a row of course.
The Pacers front office should definitely be listening to offers for Brogdon but not just trade him because they feel like it. There needs to be a good return that actually makes sense with the roster construction.
It was just a question, not trying to run Brogdon out of town. Although a head coach was just hired, there is more to be answered about the coaching staff of this team.
