NBA Mock Draft 5th Pick: Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic rebuilt in the middle of last season, dealing away their entire core to net some quality draft compensation from the Chicago Bulls. While they have a sizeable chance of obtaining the top pick, a selection in the upper-fifth of the draft should still merit a win for the franchise with the deep cast of prospects.

Jalen Green should be a legitimate contender for Rookie of the Year next season. His scoring ability may just the best among his peers and with Orlando, he’ll surely get an abundance of opportunities to fill up the box score. The Magic don’t really have a long-term answer at shooting guard, so he will immediately serve as one of the primary options on offense for the team.

His defense lacks substance but his offense may be one of the most NBA-ready in this draft. With a deep treasury of moves under his command, Green will be a healthy source of highlights not only for the currently unexciting Magic, but also for the entire league next season.
