NBA Draft Mock 14th Pick: Golden State Warriors

If there’s a glaring hole on the Golden State Warriors for years, it’s their lack of reliable three-point shooting outside of the Splash Brothers. Their intricate offense is predicated on Steph Curry and Klay Thompson’s gravity-twisting presence, but it can only be optimized with more shooting. This season without Klay has only magnified this issue even more.

Gonzaga’s Corey Kispert is easily one of the best shooters in this draft. At 6’7, he possesses great length that will arm Steve Kerr with another interchangeable piece in the rotation. He’s not much of a threat inside the arc, but his knack for off-ball movement is completely in line with the team’s motion offense.

While his defense is average at best, he should be a serviceable team defender with his length. Ultimately, it’s his 44 percent rate from downtown that will push the Warriors to snatch him up with the last lottery pick.
