Should the Indiana Pacers copy the blueprints of other NBA playoff teams?

The 2020-21 season was unforgiving for the Indiana Pacers as they worked out some issues and challenges along the way. With a new head coach and a less-than-loaded roster, Indiana had a tough time getting important wins in the Eastern Conference.

As they prepare for the future, there are a few teams that could be worth looking at for advice. The Pacers have the foundation to go in a number of directions but each different direction would require a much different roster lookout. In order to go all-in on one strategy, Indiana needs to move on from some important players – or at least lessen their roles.

Whether the Pacers want to build around Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis, or even Myles Turner, they can look at other successful teams. Now, there is still plenty of work to do before the Pacers can reach similar levels of success, but having the foundation is a solid start.

Sure, they lack a superstar and probably will not have a high enough pick in the 2021 NBA Draft to land one, but that has not stopped other franchises in the past.

Which current playoff teams should the Pacers strive to emulate when they hit the floor next season?
