Big changes are looming for the Indiana Pacers in the offseason. With a disappointing season now past them, the Blue and Gold is figured to recalibrate their guns in a bid to bolster the roster and not only get back to the playoffs, but also make postseason noise.

One of the assets that they can use as a bargaining chip in trade talks is veteran scorer Jeremy Lamb. Entering the final stretch of the three-year, 31.5 million deal he signed in 2019, his expiring contract may seem attractive for teams who are looking for a reliable bench cog or for clubs in need of salary relief.

With this in mind, the Indiana Pacers should grab the iron while still hot, especially with teams more inclined on being aggressive in the trade market given the relatively thin crop of free agents. While Lamb has been injury-riddled in the past two seasons, he has already proven himself to be a reliable commodity in the league as an efficient scorer, especially in the second unit.

Fortunately, his contract will be easy to move given what he brings to the table when healthy. Also, his expiring contract makes him a low-risk, high-reward trade target for teams, especially when coupled with a young asset. Thus, before the ink is dry on the page, here is a trade idea to move Jeremy Lamb.
