Ideal trade partner for the Indiana Pacers: Toronto Raptors

Many penciled in the Toronto Raptors as a surefire playoff team, but like the Indiana Pacers, the 2019 NBA Champions regressed mightily en route to a lottery finish for the first time since 2013. And with longtime leader Kyle Lowry most likely headed to greener pastures, a rebuild may be on full throttle next season.

The Raps have great pieces in Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby and Fred VanVleet, but their core is not necessarily a bunch that strikes fear into anyone, especially with their lack of depth in other positions. Most evident in their struggles this year is their lack of reliable production at center, which is evidently their biggest blindspot on the court.

With Indy likelier to break up their big man tandem of Turner and Domantas Sabonis and deal Jeremy Lamb’s expiring contract, Toronto has the makings of a great trade partner, especially with their solid guards and wings who are still improving and are able to bring a different dynamic to the Pacers.

Possible pieces on the move: OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr. (sign-and-trade), Chris Boucher
