While the free agency class of 2021 may not allure many compared to previous iterations, the trade market remains as strong as ever. With player movement on a drastic uptick in recent seasons, more and more players have become available. And that holds true in the upcoming offseason, where the less impressive crop of free agents may force teams to improve their teams via trades, especially the Indiana Pacers.

Coming off a turbulent campaign, change is quickly becoming a necessity for the Blue and Gold, especially since the current roster cannot be realistically banked on to hoist the franchise as contenders. And with the team already over the cap, the Pacers venturing into trades is almost inevitable.

With an abundance of talents under contract with considerable roster control, Indiana will not be short of assets to offer in trade talks. Sure, the team isn’t a premiere destination even for disgruntled stars who may force themselves out of town, but hey, trades are still made by teams and not by players themselves.
