Indiana Pacers: Must-sign free agent targets from every West playoff team
Indiana Pacers free agent target: JaMychal Green, Denver Nuggets
Veteran JaMychal Green has already donned four different jerseys in his seven-year career, but he’s no journeyman. Save for his cameo appearance with the Spurs, he’s been one of the better role players in the league since 2015. And that holds true this year, where he’s given the Denver Nuggets a consistent and reliable two-way production.
His game is not flashy, but Green is a physical and versatile cog who can be easily slotted in all frontcourt positions. Defensively, he’s active and mobile, and is fierce on the boards. Offensively, he functions well as a floor spacer, though he’s aware enough to know when to cut and jockey for offensive rebounds. He also sets solid screens.
He has a player option, but the Indiana Pacers can realistically acquire him in the 8-9 million range, which is a tad higher than the 7 million he’s making this season. It’s gonna be tough logistics-wise, but the prospect of Green in a Blue and Gold uniform next to the team’s talented centers is not only intriguing, but also logical.
