Indiana Pacers free agent target: Semi Ojeleye, Boston Celtics

I respect Semi Ojeleye‘s game. He’s a versatile tweener who plays ferocious and physical defense, can hit the three, and is very switchable. Despite only playing meager minutes for the Celtics, he has always delivered as a 3-and-D spark who can guard the best of them in stretches, most notably against the likes of even the Greek Freak.

However, with Boston’s relative underachievement this season, their front office may be off to much grander plans in the offseason. Ojeleye may very well remain with the C’s, but he can also be easily pried away from Danny Ainge and co.

At his best, he can be a Thad Young-lite player with his versatility. While the Indiana Pacers already have Oshae Brissett, Justin Holiday, and T.J. Warren to serve the 3-and-D mold, adding another one to the array will do wonders for the team, especially with Doug McDermott getting pricier and the Turbonis duo on the fringes of a break-up.
