Indiana Pacers: Top moments from the 2020-21 regular season
By Luke Parrish
The 2020-21 NBA season has not been all too kind to the Indiana Pacers but they persevered enough to get into the play-in tournament.
High expectations were met with an unfortunate reality for the Indiana Pacers this season. Injuries and poor play derailed a season that started out pretty positive and now they are against the wall. Before they play for their playoff hopes, we should take the time to look back at the best moments from this season.
Not much seemed to go Indiana’s way this season but there were still plenty of highlight performances. Even with several key players missing a lot of time, the Pacers found a way to fight into the play-in games and get a chance at the playoffs – or even a lottery pick if things go as expected.
There were some fun moments along the way, including the rise of Oshae Brissett out of nowhere as he earned himself a three-year deal to stay with the Pacers. He followed the footsteps of Edmond Sumner and made an immediate impact on both ends of the floor when he got his chance and now looks to be a part of the team’s future.
Domantas Sabonis had his massive individual games that led to his second All-Star appearance and a Skills Challenge victory. Myles Turner showed out with his impressive defensive prowess when healthy.
Once Caris LeVert returned to the floor and got his legs under him, he became a lethal scoring threat for a team that needed one badly. The story of Caris deserves a spot on this list and as a fan of his story, it’s only right that I put it first up.
