Domantas Sabonis was the constant leader for the Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers had one All-Star this season and it was Domantas Sabonis. There is no question that he was the leader for this team on the offensive end. His not-so-rare triple-doubles put him in the franchise record books while also keeping Indiana alive in the play-in hunt.

Similar to Caris, Domas has shown more than enough evidence that he can be a deadly scorer each and every night. He had eight games of 30+ points on the season while also leading the team in rebounds and assists.

Despite not having an effective jump shot, Sabonis was able to knock down enough to be a viable option at times this season. The bulk of his work came down near the rim as he feasted on the glass or battled for attempts at the rim.

His ability to run the offense as a ball-handler and a screener brought the most out of the dynamic big man. Doug McDermott had an incredible season of his own as the beneficiary of Sabonis’ two-man game that led to easy shots at the rim.

Regardless of where you stand on the Sabonis-Turner debate, you cannot deny that Sabonis was one of the few bright spots for the Pacers this season. He hustled and battled each and every night to help his team win, but injuries across the roster made that too tall of a task.
