Moses Moody – Guard/Forward (Arkansas)

If the Pacers want more offense out of the draft – while also not sacrificing much on the defensive end, Moses Moody would be a great option. Moody shined for Arkansas this season and will be a lottery pick come draft time. However, he may be a lot easier to get to than Barnes, who may require a top-five pick to land. Moody should fall somewhere in the 8-12 range right now if I had to guess.

As a freshman, Moody averaged 16.8 points per game on .427/.358/.812 shooting splits and helped carry the Razorbacks deep into the NCAA tournament. He is another high-upside player with long arms and a knack for making plays on both ends of the floor. He is also a reliable free-throw shooter, which has been a trend for the Pacers this season.

Moody struggles a bit with taking care of the ball and as a creator for others but he is still very much a young player who can clean a lot of things up. His frame needs to be added to as well but the traits and length are too good to pass up for a team desperate to get better on the perimeter.

If Moody slips into the bottom half of the top-10 and the Pacers still haven’t made a selection, trading up to secure him is the right move. He can be a spot-starter when injuries inevitably strike this team but can also be a very good second-unit wing next to Doug McDermott or Justin Holiday.
