Indiana Pacers affiliate, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, announced their roster with two G-League draft additions.

The Indiana Pacers will be represented in the G-League bubble. On Monday, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced their roster for their upcoming season. After the NBA successfully finished last season inside a bubble, the NBA’s G-League is following suit. In February, the Pacers G-League affiliate is headed to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando to play their entire season at one location. The Mad Ants will bring some familiar faces and some new ones acquired in the recent G-League draft.

The team announced via social media that they drafted Oshae Brissett and Quincy McKnight in the second round of the draft. Brissett joins the Mad Ants with some NBA and G-League experience, having appeared in 19 games with the Toronto Raptors as a Two-Way player. Before joining the NBA, Brissett started 71 games in college while attending Syracuse. While at Syracuse, Brisset averaged 13.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Quincy McKnight started his college basketball career at Sacred Heart before transferring to Seton Hall. In 2019, McKnight was on the Big East All-Tournament First Team, among other accolades. With a college career averaging 12.9 points, four rebounds, and 3.7 assists a game, he could be a valuable addition for the Mad Ants.

Looking at McKnight and Brissett’s college careers, they both stand out as real ironmen, showing great work ethic and endurance when looking at the number of minutes played per game, as well as the number of games started. Both valuable traits for the G-League’s single-game elimination playoffs.

Joining McKnight and Brissett in Orlando for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants will be Two-Way Player Brian Bowen II, Naz Mitrou-Long, Pacers Two-Way Player and rookie Cassius Stanley, Amida Brimah, Daxter Miles Jr., JaKeenan Gant, Josh Gray, Rayshaun Hammonds, Devin Robinson, and Anthony Lawrence II. As the NBA deals with postponements and Covid-19, there is a chance that any of these players could get an NBA call-up to help bolster the Pacers’ already impressive depth.
