Indiana Pacers Profile: Post-injury Victor Oladipo is crucial to Indiana
Predictions
Victor Oladipo gets back to the All-Star Game
Hopefully, this isn’t a five-game stretch overreaction, but I wholeheartedly think Oladipo is back at All-Star form. When looking at the last two times he made the team I think he can slightly increase his scoring numbers in this great system, but the efficiency should definitely increase since he won’t be looked at to carry the team throughout the whole season.
Along with his personal numbers, I think the Indiana Pacers are going to be near the top of the standings in which the NBA will definitely look at naming two Indiana Pacers to the All-Star team.
Stats
At this current moment, Victor Oladipo is averaging 21/5.3/4.8 on 55.2/54.2/87.5 shooting splits. Those shooting splits are all thanks to the season being so young, but I have a hot take; I believe Oladipo can spread them out throughout the whole season to end up near 50/40/90, but probably won’t make it in the club at the end.
For his other stats, I believe he will finish the season with averages of 23/5/5, and honestly, it’s not that unrealistic. The roster construction around Oladipo and the basketball genius of Nate Bjorkgren are setting up Victor for a great season, he just has to take the bull by the horns and let nothing get in his way.
With my high hopes for Oladipo, my hopes are also high that we can get him a contract extension to stay long-term and get some continuity going.
