Indiana Pacers: 3 players to watch in the preseason
By Luke Parrish
Myles Turner
Will the starting lineup play a bunch in the preseason? Probably not. In fact, we may not even see the true starting five in each of the three preseason games. Myles Turner may not play a whole lot in these games but that does not mean that we should not monitor his usage.
With a new coaching staff in place, Turner could finally be in line for his breakout season that has been expected for several years. Even in limited action, it is entirely possible that we see a glimpse of how he will be used by Bjorkgren and his staff this season.
As the Pacers push to shoot more threes and spread the floor on the offensive end, I want to see how Turner is immersed in the offense and how free he is to shoot when given the chance. He is a very skilled big man who can shoot and drive to the rim but we have not seen much from him in that regard.
It will also be interesting to see how Turner and Sabonis split their minutes. If the Pacers keep a two-big lineup, will they play exclusively together or will they be split up with the second unit just as much? There are a lot of questions regarding Myles Turner heading into the season.
