Victor Oladipo offers no clear plan for his future with the Indiana Pacers.

The Indiana Pacers still have no commitment from their All-Star guard. As the NBA season inches closer and closer, more confusion seems to come from the side of Victor Oladipo.

When Victor Oladipo was asked straight up if he wants to be in Indiana long term he essentially avoided the question. This seems to be a common theme from Victor this offseason, he won’t directly speak out saying he wants to stay here. He goes out and uses Shams Charania as a puppet when he wants to put anything out there, along with his sister speaking out on rumors instead of himself.

"“That’s out of my control. I’m focused on the now,” Oladipo stated when asked about his desire to stay in Indiana for the long term."

I’m still a fan of Oladipo but the suspicious activity of this offseason makes it very hard to gauge the truth from him. Along with all of that, in a recent presser from Kevin Pritchard, he was asked if Oladipo had made it known to him that he wants to stay long term, to which KP instantly said no. Don’t you think a player would tell the front office instead of just going to Shams that he wants to stay in Indiana?

On the other hand, there could be some optimism found, Victor Oladipo and Nate Bjorkgren are said to have formed a close relationship. This can lead to the locker room staying intact and maybe even lead to Oladipo playing better on the court.

Nate Bjorkgren could be a saving grace for the Pacers this season by forming a relationship with Oladipo and possibly getting him to stay through that and by getting the team to play a better style of play he may enjoy. Hopefully, the Oladipo and Pacers relationship doesn’t end in a very bad way, or at all, Oladipo back in a form that anyway resembles his All-Star form would help the team tremendously.
